The moment you enter Kong Roast you will understand what a difference to a dining experience the decor and layout can make.

The cuisine suits the warm decor – comfort food borne of a fusion between East and West is the order of the day.

The bar area is luxurious and decadent with a sleek ambiance created by stylish purple lighting, a long black leather couch, cocktails, and striking white leather bar stools. Take a walk to the opposite side for a dramtically different setting of purples and blacks. A throw back to Asian history, life-sized and grand-looking terracotta warriors stand in place watching over the diners.

The food is exceptional. Tried the spinach and cream cheese dim sum and the Kong Wok beef - I thoroughly enjoyed both. The delicious food is somewhat ruined by the waitrons who constantly harass customers to place orders quickly - difficult to enjoy a relaxed meal. In addition, the manager was exceptionally rude, condescending and contemptuous. If you make a reservation - prepare to be seated at the worst table in the restaurant, on top of the waiter station, and have the staff refuse to move you despite the restaurant being half empty.
